NO RISK BOOKINGS FOR 2021
As recent events have reminded us, we all need to be flexible.
Our 2020 season certainly hasn’t gone as we planned but because of our flexible booking policy, all of our clients had the option to postpone their cruises to next year, at no additional cost.
Right now it looks like COVID-19 could continue to impact our lives and travels for the foreseeable future. But that doesn’t have to mean having nothing in the diary to look forward to – in fact a barge cruise might be the perfect Corona travel prescription for 2021.
However we completely understand you may be feeling uneasy and worried about booking future travel because of the ongoing uncertainty of international travel restrictions.
Change the date of your cruise as many times as you need, up to 60 days before depature
with NO change fees
and NO price increases
(within 24 months of your original departure date)
If you want to re-schedule your cruise
At any point up to 60 days before departure you can re-schedule your cruise at no additional cost – meaning you can feel totally comfortable about changing your mind if YOU aren’t ready to travel.
You can change your cruise date as many times as you need and we promise that you’ll only pay the original price for your cruise, as long as you take your cruise within 2 years of your original departure date. Like any tour business we do typically increase our prices over time, so this means there are no nasty surprises when you re-book.
Once you’ve made your balance payment, due 60 days before your cruise, it is no longer possible to re-schedule your cruise.
If you want to cancel your cruise
You can cancel your cruise at any point up to the date of departure, however the following termination fees will be charged:
- If we re-sell your cabin or charter booking, a termination fee of €100 per person will be charged (to cover administration costs).
- If your cabin or charter booking is not re-sold, a termination fee of €850 per person will be charged.
In accordance with UK and Europe regulations, your deposit and balance payments are held in a separately managed trust account until after you travel, ensuring that if you do need to cancel your refund is available.
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance with cover for ‘cancel for any reason’, prior to booking your cruise.
Q: How many times can I change my booking?
You can change your cruise date as many times as you like, up to 60 days before your cruise departure. At this point your balance payment is due and no further changes are possible.
Q: Is there a time limit for re-scheduled cruises?
You can reschedule your cruise for up to 24 months (2 years) after your original departure date. So if you have booked a cruise for 2021, but decide you want to re-schedule your booking can be transferred to any available date in our 2022 or even 2023 season.
Q: I need to change my cruise date, but I’m not sure of a new date yet – what do I do?
No problem, we can put your booking ‘on hold’ until you are ready to confirm the new dates.
Once you’re re-planning your trip, look at our availability calendar and choose the date that suits you. Just send Claire an email and she will confirm your new dates. As long as your new departure date is within 2 years of your original departure date, your cruise will be the same price as your original booking.
Q: What happens if the international borders are closed again and I can’t travel to France?
If you aren’t are able to travel to France because either;
- France, or your home country, closes their borders to international leisure travel, or
- your home country issues a travel advisory notice against travel to France, meaning that your travel insurance is not valid
We will transfer your booking to any available date within the next 24 months. You will not be charged any change fees or price increases.
Q: I booked an individual cabin but I now want to travel with a group of friends/family on a charter cruise next year – can I transfer my booking?
Yes. So long as you make the change at least 60 days before your cabin cruise departure we can transfer your deposit amount across to your new charter cruise booking.
Q: I’ve booked a charter cruise but some of the group now can’t come – do we get a refund?
Our charter cruise prices are based on the number of guests travelling, so if you group size increases, or decreases, your cruise price will be updated to reflect this. For example a 6 night cruise costs €2,500pp with six guests (ie. €15,000 total) – if two people cancel your cruise price would be changed to €3,300pp (ie. €13,200 total).
You can make changes to guest numbers at any time up to 60 days before your departure date (ie. when your balance payment is due) with no fees. If any member of your charter group needs to cancel less than 60 days before your departure date a €100 per person termination fee will be charged.
Q. There is a change who is travelling in my charter group – can we amend our booking?
Of course you can, however please be aware that any changes to the deposits or balance payments for your booking (eg. refunding one couple and then invoicing a new couple) will incur a €100 administration fee.
