If you’re travelling as a couple or with a friend, you can choose to book an individual cabin on our barge cruises.  And with only three cabins on board, you’ll be sharing the barge with a maximum of four other guests.

Sailing through the beautiful French countryside, with afternoon visits to vineyards, charming villages or historic cities and of course, plenty of champagne – a barge cruise on the Serenity is the perfect way to get away from it all and discover the Champagne region.

On a private charter cruise you have exclusive use of the barge for your group – and as we do all the organisation everyone can relax and enjoy their holiday.

We’ll create a bespoke itinerary for your group tailored to your interests.  So whether your a group of friends getting together to celebrate a milestone birthday, or a multi-generational family group, there’s the flexibility and freedom to cater to everyone’s interests and energy levels.

More than 6 people?

We have three guest cabins on Serenity, but if you’re a larger group we pair up with another barge to offer a tandem cruise, meaning we can accommodate up to 12 people.

The two barges cruise and moor together (assuming availability of parking spaces).  We’ll use two vehicles to take you out on excursions – either everyone going on one excursion or you can split into two groups for different excursions.    And of course you all eat as one group at the restaurants in the evenings.

Whether you only have a few days available, are on a limited budget or are struggling to persuade your travel companions  that barge cruising is for them (they’ll become converts in no time!) – this mini-cruise is the perfect introduction to both the fabulous Champagne region and canal barging.

If you choose the two day option you’ll enjoy a gourmet dinner at a Michelin recommended restaurant and stay overnight in the barge’s ensuite guest cabins.

The next day we’ll again cruise in the morning and then your captain will take you on a guided tour of the nearby vineyards and historic villages, with stops for tastings at some of favourite boutique family run wineries.
